Liquid cooling, for instance, is moving from a specialty requirement for HPC clusters to a mainstream consideration as GPU density increases. Location strategy matters more than it ever has. The constraint in data center development is no longer primarily capital — it's power. Sites with access to large, reliable power capacity, preferably with a path to renewable sourcing, are the scarce resource. Every serious developer in this space should be thinking about their power pipeline with the same rigor they apply to their capital stack.
The developers who will capture disproportionate value over the next decade aren't necessarily the ones chasing the biggest AI deals.
