They understand which jurisdictions have proactively updated their city planning frameworks, which ones are likely to impose restrictions, and which elected officials are most influential in shaping outcomes.
Engaging proactively with local zoning boards, attending public hearings even when you're not yet an applicant, and contributing to the policy conversations municipalities are having about data center development — these aren't soft, optional gestures. They're the difference between a project that breaks ground in 18 months and one that spends four years in regulatory limbo.
