What Happens Next — And How Residents Can Actually Influence It

Rezoning decisions go through a defined process: application, staff review, planning commission recommendation, and ultimately a vote by the local governing body — in most jurisdictions, a city council or county commission. Each of those stages is a potential intervention point.

The most effective community advocacy happens early and in writing.
