The practical takeaway for anyone holding a property that could qualify: get ahead of this now. Interconnection queues are already stretching 3–5 years in constrained markets. Developers doing site selection today are underwriting land positions for 2027 and beyond. The sellers who engage early — who work with a credible development partner, understand their infrastructure assets, and price strategically — will capture value that latecomers simply won't see.
